We Sharing Together as Friends

Hey Everyone,

I was thinking of a word which is a powerful word, yet it has compassion within the word. This word is "SHARING” yes it means a lot to me and my family, and it should mean a lot to you as well. Sharing is what we are made of and what we are called to do as human beings in this society. We share so many things such as our love, money, skills, talents, hugs, kisses, and most of all our time. As true friends we have to share ourselves, no matter how hard it is for us. Living on this earth I'm learning a lot which means I'm learning to give myself to others as well to the people God tells me to share with. What really stop us from sharing ourselves is fear we don't want to be insult or abandoned by society, or sometimes it's our pride that keep us from not sharing with others. Riches, wealth, status, and popularity have its own category, which means it has nothing to do with our thoughts and feelings we share with others. Don’t let our riches, wealth, status, and popularity get into the way of sharing ourselves with others. This is the one reason why we have true friends within our lives, so we can talk, laugh, cry, and be our true selves with them. I have three poems I want to share with you all, for these poems really says a lot to me about sharing our true selves. Always remember we don't have to force ourselves on people, but we can share ourselves freely with others.

"Like Everyone"
By Vincent Van Gogh
(1853-1890)
Like everyone else I feel the need of
relations and friendship,of affection,of
friendly intercourse, and I am not made of
stone or iron, so I cannot miss these things
without feeling, as does any other and
intelligent man, a void and deep need. I
tell you this to let you know how much
good your visit has done me.

"Someone To Share"
By Robert Burns (1759-1796)
I want someone to laugh with me,
someone to be grave with me, someone
to please me and help my discrimination
with his or her own remark, and at times,
no doubt, to admire my acuteness and penetration.

"Two People"
By Erica Jong (1942-Present)
Two people holding each other up
like flying buttresses.
Two people depending on each other and
babying each other and defending each other
against the world outside.
